Tea Collection recently released a fun batch of 2016 styles, and we can't urge you enough to take a closer look!  We love that Tea Collection chose Italy as their newest inspiration destination.  We are always fond of European style, and we especially love this new collection.  We were thrilled when presented with the opportunity to freely review a few of the newer items, and we can't wait to share our thoughts with you.  Tea brings worldwide culture and modern design to children's fashion, and our Seattle families just can't get enough!  We were recently given the opportunity to check out some of the newest styles for our own kids. We are so pleased to share with you, our personal review of the clothes as well as photos we took of our kids in the new collection. We adore the girls dresses, but there are also some fabulous tops, skirts, and capris!  For the boys you'll discover endless cool graphic tees, a variety of comfy pants and shorts as well as cozy hoodies to top off their spring look.
Our kids outfits turned out truly perfect, as we mixed and matched items while browsing the site. Tea makes it simple to create your own look with "Matchmaker" feature as well as the "Sibling Shop" where you can get even more inspiration for outfits that complement each other. We were so pleased with our choices for our four kids. Each of the styles suited our children perfectly and they were all thrilled with their look.
For Sam, we chose the Cocullo Snake Graphic Tee, Enrico Plaid Shirt and Pull-On Canvas Shorts. This outfit came together perfectly and is totally Sam's style. He loves the snake tee most of all, which is special because every year, the Italian town of  Cocullo hosts a festival where the guests of honor are snakes! Not to mention how much he likes the easy pull-on waist of the canvas shorts. These shorts are super nice quality - thick, yet soft canvas and a comfy waistband that will bring zero complaining. The tee is an ultra soft cotton, the type that can be washed and washed and only gets better.  I appreciate how nicely the plaid shirt subtly matches the snake tee and how easily the neutral shorts tie together his look. This shirt is a cool option for this spring and summer that is light and breezy, just what our busy guy needs. Not too dressy, but perfectly casual and comfortable. A great look for Sam. Looks great with flip flops or sneakers!
For Charlotte, we selected the Tre Gusti Graphic Tee, Villa Borghese Mini Skirt and Solid Capri Leggings in "Monsoon". This is the cutest little outfit. Inspired by the joy of having some delicious Italian gelato, this outfit includes a must have ice cream tee that any little girl will love. The tee is the sweetest, softest pink with a colorful triple scoop of gelato on the front (Gusti means "three flavors") and it just makes us smile. This tee matches the skirt and leggings effortlessly! The skirt is designed with a delicate floral pattern, inspired by the grand gardens of the Villa Borghese in Rome. This skirt is light and airy, easy to pull on and has two side pockets for treasures. The leggings bring it all together and give Charlotte a cool layered look, while giving her some coverage and warmth while she plays and explores. This outfit feels like it was made for Charlotte. She likes it paired with her white Saltwaters, but it would also look great with some Natives or sneakers!
For our eight-year old Ruth, we chose the Vatican Gardens Twirl Dress, a perfect style for an older girl!  This print was inspired by the beautiful tapestries found within the vatican, with an elegant floral motif inspired by the ornamental embellishments around their frames and borders.  The first thing she said when she saw the dress was, "Ooh, look at those flowers"!  We have always loved Tea's Twirl Dress structure, and this 2016 Italian inspired version is a must-have.  The design is printed on Tea's Heritage Blue colored fabric, which is easy to match with almost anything casually; however, it's a dark enough fabric to pass as a nice evening piece.  Ruthie wore this out to a recent Father-Daughter dance with Tea's Rhubarb colored Striped Capri Leggings, and she loved her outfit.  She particularly enjoyed spinning and twirling in this mini-length dress.  We also paired this with the Imoga Denis Necklace in Silver, which was a lovely way to add flair without going over-the-top.  We can't wait to utilize this outfit now through the rest of the summer.  Check out these pictures below, Ruthie's smile says it all.
For Leah, we seized the chance to see the gorgeous Via Appia Antica Dress in person!  This was one of our favorite new items from the recent release, and it's a true showstopper.  The blue oceany color is aptly named "dolphin", which complements it's embroidery design which was inspired by early Roman cobblestone roadways.  The detailed embroidery on the chest and the drop waist of this dress is such a unique exquisite rendering, and paired alongside the pintuck seams down the chest brings about such a darling look!  The nice bubble sleeves also add elegance and femininity.  One more noteworthy attribute about this dress is the nice button closure behind the neck, this is a great attribute that helped this dress to sit nicely on her collar without stretching the neckline while putting it on.  We always appreciate when Tea puts detail into their seamstress craftsmanship!  We paired this dress easily with Tea's Grey Heather Striped Leggings; the faint medium heather grey in these leggings allowed the dress to remain the focal point, while also subtly complementing the dress and keeping my daughter's legs warm.  The entire outfit is 100% cotton, which helped keep my four-year old comfy all day long without itch or fuss!  And as you can see from the bottom photo, we adorned this outfit with the Imoga Lamar Necklace in Gold, a lovely little addition to add some grace and fun.  My daughter couldn't keep her fingers off this necklace!  It was nice that she felt beautiful and enjoyed this affordable accessory.  It'll easily pair with almost anything from the 2016 release, and it's adjustable length means she can share it with her big sister!  If you want to splurge on one outfit from this new Italian collection, this set is it!
