Minted x West Elm Art Review + Free Shipping

Did you know Minted has a huge selection of fine art prints? Minted is an online marketplace connecting you with independent designers from all over the world (with several established Pacific Northwest artists included).  Recently Minted and West Elm came together to curate an exclusive new art collection.  This collaboration gave Minted's community artists the unique chance to have their work sold in West Elm stores nationwide. More than 6,000 works were submitted to the design challenge and West Elm has sourced 50 pieces to sell in their stores and online, while Minted has exclusively launched 135 unique pieces from 95 artists!  The selection is incredible, a must-see if you're looking for an affordable and stylish way to update any spaces in your home.

We were recently given the chance to review a few Minted x West Elm art pieces, and we are thrilled to share our personal photos and opinions with you. It was hard to select each piece, as there are so many to choose from! However, we are so pleased with our selections!
Hexagon Cluster by Yao Cheng
The first piece we chose is the Hexagon Cluster by Yao Cheng (for reference, this is an 8x10 size). This piece is fun and colorful, and can be placed almost anywhere in a home. Here it is on my mantle where it gets lots of natural light. I love the modern geometric design and how it pops with my neutral walls. The print is vibrant and crisp, just how I hoped it would be. Minted allows you to custom frame any print with a nice selection of wooden and metal frames in all sizes. There is even a feature on their site that allows you to preview your art choice with any of the frames so you can truly visualize your final product. I selected the "black premium wood" frame, and it is perfect; really nice quality with perfectly metered corners and smooth wood.  I am thrilled with how this turned out and know I will love it for years to come!
Love Grows Here by Ming Platt
The second print we selected was this West Elm curated Love Grows Here by Ming Platt print with a Distressed Indigo Stain frame.  Ming Platt is a Seattle artist, which made the pull for this print extra meaningful.  Ming Platt's use of color and texture is evident in this print, the real piece of art uses mixed media, but the print still shows strength in texture.  The artist drew from her inspiration for nature and simple joys, which makes this print an easy decorative piece for anywhere in the house, and the muted matte colors also allow this to match almost anything.  This photograph has been through an instagram filter, so be sure to check out the print online too!  It took time to decide if this would look best near the kitchen, dining nook or living room - this versatile piece ultimately ended up adorning the wall in my living room, and it looks lovely there.  It is especially eye-catching with a vase of flowers next to it!

After selecting the prints we wanted to procure, our minted art arrived quickly and was packaged sturdy and securely. Each piece came in it's own box neatly wrapped and packaged snugly within each container.  You could rest assured if you ordered this as a gift, you could have it sent directly to the recipient and they'd find the packaging impressive (super Christmas gift idea)!  The art arrived in pristine condition, ready to hang on the wall and our immediate response was "Ooh, we want more"!  We wouldn't hesitate to purchase additional Minted art for our homes!  And best of all, now all Minted art ships free (with free returns too!) when you apply the promotional code SHIPFREE. This is an awesome shopping incentive to encourage you to try the new Minted x West Elm collection.  Check it out for yourself, risk free!
